A selfie is a photograph that you take of yourself. Selfie is now very popular all over the world. The first selfie did Robert Cornelius, an American photographer, took a daguerreotype of himself in 1839. Oxford Dictionaries declared “selfie” its 2013 word of the year, but the term began growing in popularity in 2011 in Australia, before peaking worldwide in 2014, according to Google Trends. The first known use of the word selfie in any paper or electronic medium appeared in an Australian internet forum on 13 September 2002 .
